Introducing our Shining Knights UIG Sports Coach, Jomari Sollano!

Sollano, born October 17, 1993 and raised in Inoragauio, Sta. Margarita, Samar. He started his basketball career from University of Southern Philippines (CESAFI) in 2010. He then become one of recognized college basketball player when he joined Colegio de San Juan de Letran where he helped spark the Knights to secure the NCAA Philippines Champion in year 2015 and part of NCAA Philippines All-Star in 2016.

Soon after the successful collegiate career and plays a forward/center position, Sollano find himself 2nd overall pick of Tanduay Light Rhum Master in PBA D-League on his amateur career where he hones and trained his skills.

Sollano was selected as the 19th overall pick in the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters where he made his PBA debut, one of the well-known and top basketball leagues in the Philippines and then he signed with North Port Batang Pier on a one-conference deal.
On his career finale in Philippine league, he joined several teams in Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) from Valenzuela Classic to Imus Bandera and finally suited up with Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines in 2020.

After the success basketball journey in Philippines, he continues his passion in United Arab Emirates and established his name as one of the well-known active players in Dubai. Along with our Head Coach Arnold Booker and Jonathan Fernandez, they bag multiple in different basketball league categories.

Jomari Sollano or now called Coach Jom is now representing UIG Sports Services helping our young generations to develop, polish their skills and share his experience to become a true knight champion!
